A new addition to my “Silk Road” Necklace series - so called because it features beads from around the world, drawn from a collection I began forming 35 years ago.

Designed with beads from all over the world, including:
Africa (Ghana) - the dusty red glass beads with chocolate-toned stripes
Europe (Czech Republic) - the glass beads that create the small beaded beads in shades of pink, salmon and rose; other, larger glass beads both antique and modern.
Indonesia (Java) - the long, peach-colored glass bicones
The Middle East - the oval wood beads with black backgrounds and white or silver stripes
Strung on 3 strands of nylon-coated steel cable.
If the necklace ever breaks (not likely with normal wear), invisible sterling crimps inside some of the beads ensure that long lengths will stay intact, reducing the chance of bead loss - and preserving your peace of mind.

What’s special about this necklace?
How it’s accented with antique Venetian glass beads you won’t see anywhere else. See the one large round glass bead in peach pink with the coppery swirls? And the two small glass beads with the silver-toned sheen and coppery swirls? And the one glass beads that’s squarish in profile and colored deep crystal rose? All four of these beads were made in Venice about 100 years ago - the most sophisticated glass beads of the era.
