Sterling Beaded Tumbleweed #1

635.00

Beaded Tumbleweeds are some of the most difficult and time-consuming structures I make. Each is one of a kind and asymmetrical - imperfectly spherical, you might say.

The process begins with a certain length of sterling silver rectangle wire, which I shape by hand into a sort of spherical structure. After soldering the structure in a number of places to make it firm, I bead first the outsides and then the insides, securing the beads one by one.

If the beads on the outside are sterling silver, the last step is to polish the Tumbleweed with a polishing cloth until the beads sparkle quietly.

Tumbleweed shown here, 1 1/2" x 1 1/2".

(Other Elements sold separately.)
